WEIRD NEWS: DNA Test Reveals Woman Married Her Father

Six years after the death of her husband, a DNA test reveals that Valerie Spruill actually married her her biological father.

Yes, you read that last part correctly.

According to the Huffington Post, Valerie, 60, was raised by her grandfather, who told her he was her biological father. Valerie later found out that a woman described as just a family friend was actually her biological mother.

Apparently, Valerie’s mom was a “night lady”, which we assume is just a nice way of saying prostitute, and she sent her to live with her parents when Valerie was just 3-months-old.

Unbeknownst to Valerie, her real biological father was Percy Spruill, who met her real mother when he was only 15-years-old.

Sometime later, Valerie met and married Percy Spruill even though she had heard rumors that he was her father.

I don’t know about you, but that would have been a red flag for me.

After her husband Percy died, one of Valerie’s uncles actually came forward with the shocking truth – he was her father. Why this uncle didn’t share this important information sooner is beyond me.

Valerie moved forward with a DNA test and it confirmed that her husband was in fact her father.

Valerie has 3 children and 8 grandchildren. Does that mean her own kids are her half-siblings and her grandchildren are her also her nieces and nephews?

It’s so weird.

One thing is clear – it takes a lot of guts to come forward and share this news with the world. I really respect Valerie for that. Hopefully her story helps other people going through crazy trials and tribulations.
