WATCH: ‘Ghost Hunters’ Sneak Peek Of French Quarter Massacre

September 19, 2012

Check out a spooky sneak peek of tonight’s all new episode of Ghost Hunters titled French Quarter Massacre!

In this weeks episode, the TAPS team travels to New Orleans to investigate the Jimani Lounge, a bar where 32 men lost their lives back in 1973. According to Alyne Pustanio, the Jumani Lounge was a gay bar that existed in a time when being gay wasn’t socially accepted. In fact, the Jimani Lounge massacre is the worst “hate crime” on record today in the United States.

Amy Bruni commented that tonights episode is, “probably one of the most important cases TAPS has ever done. And not just because of the paranormal potential.”

We assume she’s talking about this horrific crime that was ignored by city officials and the media. Victims we’re thought of as less than human and families were denied access to their loved ones bodies and couldn’t provide them with a proper burial. Some of the bodies were dumped in a mass grave where people dispose of trash and deceased pets.

It’s just horrific.

The team also investigates the mortuary where some of these victims were taken after the fire.

Hopefully the TAPS team can get some useful paranormal evidence, but like Amy said – just bringing this case to everyones attention is important enough.

Tune into SyFy tonight at 9PM to watch this new episode of Ghost Hunters.

Thank you Ghost Hunters for bringing out this story. You did a remarkable coverage and Adam was really brave to do his part and be open about himself. This is a tragedy that can never be overlooked and the city of New Orleans and the families of those who perished should be ashamed of themselves as to how this situation was badly mishandled. I am glad you had the courage to cover this and I hope that in some way this could bring to a solvable end and keep the proper memory of those affected alive.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts – we agree with you 100%! Like Amy said, this investigation was important for reasons far beyond the paranormal.
