Blind Item: Actress Pays It Forward

Which actress rented an apartment for a crew member so his sick wife could live closer to her hospital?

This C List actress with an upcoming role in a film that could potentially make her B+, heard about the trouble a crew member on set was experiencing. His wife of only a few months was diagnosed with cancer and has a long list of treatments ahead of her. The actress had never personally spoken with the crew member before, but after finding out about his problems, put money down on a nice apartment (for an entire year!) for the couple, that is very close to the hospital.

This is a tough one. I really have no clue who this could be, however I am going to guess that it’s Mia Wasikowska. She played Alice in the Tim Burton adaptation of Alice in Wonderland, co-starring Johnny Depp. She will next be seen in Albert Nobbs, starring Glen Close. She definitely seems to be moving up in the acting world, but since this blind doesn’t give away many clues (so far as I can see), my guess is probably wrong.
