Amy Adams Cast As Lois Lane

Amy Adams has officially been cast as Lois Lane in the new Superman movie directed by Zack Snyder, reports Popeater.

Zack Snyder had the following to say about his casting choices:

“It goes back to what I’ve said about Superman and making him really understandable for today. What’s important to us is making him relevant and real and making him empathetic to today’s audience so that we understand the decisions he makes. That applies to Lois as well. She has to be in the same universe as him [in tone and substance].”

So far, Henry Cavill has been cast as Clark Kent/Superman and Kevin Kostner and Diane Lane have been cast as Kent’s adoptive parents.

This movie is supposed to hit theaters in December 2012, but Superman is really a summer movie. So, I’m not sure whether this movie will be a hit or a miss, but I guess we’ll just have to wait and see.
